A hugely complex Lowland single malt from the Auchentoshan distillery, aged for 50 years in Oloroso sherry casks having been distilled in 1957. This rare whisky comes in a beautiful glass bottle.
Nose: Feinty and fruity. An abundance of flavour, with lush ripe berries and white fruits. Lovely complexity, tobacco and rich leathery ropes. Pecan Danish fresh from the oven, a little almond and hot buttered toast, just a dash of mint.
Palate: Lovely dryness, quite woody with beautiful tannins, pine wood and a little resin paving the way for a deluge of sugared peels, chewy rich orange and mandarin and herbaceous notes, a little green tea perhaps.
Finish: Quite smooth. Softened with a little oil and herbal notes, a little fresh mint tea and pine sap.

This has to be a 'too good to be true' deal. There isn't even a Illustration of the Single Malt. The price had better be worth it, if I'm going to fork over a weeks pay for it.

I'd rather but a Colt 45 at my local Gas Station.

£2449 for a bottle of whisky - it's locked in a safe guarded by a wolf. Probably tastes very nice - peaty and stuff - I'll never know
