Distilled at Auchentoshan in 1992 and aged in bourbon casks before being reracked for a finish in Sauternes casks from Chateau Climens. This was bottled at Bruichladdich in 2011 and is a release of 255 bottles at natural cask strength.
Nose: Very fruity and very interesting nose, with a lot of floral character, fresh apple blossom, beautiful lavender honey, hints of spice and a little malt.
Palate: Creamy and sweet. Notes of apricot jam on warm porridge. A little cinnamon, some golden syrup, various spices, barley.
Finish: Decent length, drying oak, cinnamon and various fruit jams on the finish.
