Arran Boutique-y Batch 2 Bottling Note
This is the second batch of That Boutique-y Whisky Company's small-batch, cask-strength whisky from the Isle of Arran. It's a deliciously coastal, malty, citrusy single malt, typical of the distillery.
Each bottle is adorned with a hand-drawn illustration of the artist, Emily Chappell, and a friend on an ill-fated kayaking trip. The label depicts the two shipwrecked on an island, signalling desperately to the Waverley cruise ship (which runs from Glasgow to Arran). You'll note the eagle in the foreground - a reference to the nesting eagles which postponed the building of the Arran distillery during the 1990s!
"Shimmers like the sun reflecting off the Sound of Bute... from the right cask, one of the truly great distilleries of the world."
- Jim Murray (95 Points)
