Arran 17 Year Old Bottling Note

This expression is part of a trio released over multiple years, which will culminate in an 18 year old Arran single malt, due to be released in 2015. While you wait, why not enjoy this 17 year old single malt from the Isle of Arran, made with un-peated malt and matured in ex-Sherry casks. A release of 9000 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fresh orange peel zest, followed by marzipan and honey'd barley. A pinch of cinnamon spice perhaps, but just a pinch.

Palate: Ripe red apples and yet more citrus. The spice is stronger here, less sweet, more green and slightly herbal.

Finish: Orchard fruits and Sherry influence last on the finish.

Overall: A light, approachable 17 year old expression from Arran.

User Reviews of the Arran 17 Year Old

One of the best!

I first tried this amazing drink last weekend with my son-in-law. I choose this drink because the description seemed to fit my preferred taste. I was so impressed that I went and purchased 2 bottles. One to enjoy now, one for much later. Thank you.

One of their best to date at Arran

I recently came back from a 6 week trip to Scotland and visited Arran Distillery. I loved it so much, I went twice. I was fortunate enough to try many of their newest releases and this one was at the top of my list to purchase. I enjoyed it so much that I showcased it at a master class very recently. Look forward to the 18, the distillery's first official bottling.
