This is a 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the much-love Ardbeg distillery on the Isle of Islay, aged in a trio of barrels which matured the whisky from 2001 to 2016. A release of 682 bottles from Ian Macleod's Dun Bheagan range.
Nose: Sea breeze, barley and a handful of exotic spices.
Palate: Light with pear and dry wood, before sweet peat starts to grow and grow.
Finish: Bonfire ash and some spicy gingerbread.
