Angel's Envy is a rather splendid bourbon that has interestingly been finished in Port casks! The combination of the vanilla-y richness with the sweet, sticky Port notes (which really come to the fore of the delightful finish) is a match made in Heaven - an apt saying, considering the name.
Orange segments, flaky pastry and cinnamon sticks.
Creamy vanilla, cedar spice and the start of the red berry sweetness.
A big ol' helping of dark chocolate, red grape and a light waft of aromatic herbs.
$31.93 - $69.43
This is my personal favourite, the bottle I won't share with guests, it's all mine. Smooth, mild with a warm fruity aftertaste worth savouring. The tasting notes are spot on, vanilla and deep dark fruit from the port casks. Delicious.
A beautiful Bourbon which I first tasted over in Kentucky USA. Smooth and quite light I find, full in the mouth, spicy in throat but not as aggressive going down the throat as many other bourbons, definitely vanilla on the tongue and some sweetness creeping in. Wonderful
Its, smooth has low odour, peppery and lots of tannin. lingering spicy finish. as a fan and drinker of port did not come through for me.
This is the best bourbon I've tried, I liked it so much I bought another bottle, definitely recommended.
Got this beautiful bottle of Angel's Envy from Master of Malt this week. It's lovely. Feels quite smooth in the mouth and quite light (I had the 14 year The Balvenie Caribbean Cask earlier n the evening, but I rinsed with water, hard :)). It coates the mouth and lingers. Not sharp at all. Fab.
