Back in 1992 when cask number 117469 was filled, the world was a very different place – Wet Wet Wet were top of the charts and those little squeezy Marmite bottles were yet to be invented. Truly a world unrecognisable from today’s modern utopia. It wasn't until July 2013 that this spirit saw the light of day once more, filling 285 bottles. Whilst we’d all been learning how to use the internet, however, this little baby had been learning the art of deliciousness, and learning it well.
Nose: Incredibly well-structured. Integrated notes of apple pastry, chalky, mineral-rich soil and freshly-squeezed granny-smith juice.
Palate: Again, just astonishingly well put together - nothing is out of place. Malted Milk biscuits, Barley Sugar and shortbread.
Finish: Rich, rewarding and remarkably well-integrated. Long.
Overall: If you looked up 'whisky' in the dictionary, there would be a tiny sachet of this stapled to the page.
