Aberlour A'Bunadh #60 Bottling Note

60 batches of A'Bunadh! Aberlour's incredibly series of heavily-Sherried single malt has reached its 60th batch, and as ever, it's an delicious dram jam-packed with chocolate, raisin and festive spice notes. Aberlour continue to get their hands on great Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks to mature the whisky in, and we continue to be impressed with each release.

Aberlour A'Bunadh Batch 60 Reviews

Sweet spirit of Christmas with cinnamon and spice

Sweet, the spirit of Christmas, cinnamon and spices. A dram to enjoy with an old friend or someone who is about to become one. A powerful nectar that separates boys from men and make the strongest of men emotional. Not only because of the high alcohol content but because this is a fine, masculine drink indeed.

Expensive or not?

Perfect nose. Super strong. Wow. I have never ever had a spirit so strong and yet so delightful. I am not even sure I ever had a spirit over 50%. You can drink it as it is presented. But I would say this is 45y and up. You can hold it in a long time (30 sec for masohits like me?), but then the fire comes! Hehe. Its great. What can I say. Sweet, woody, sexy. If you deluted down to 40%, I think Aberlour 12 might be there-there in quality, the point of such whisky is to enjoy the power of it in its all. I just might try mix it with aberlour 12 to 50-50, to get it to 50%, but I will just risk half a dram for that. Price? You guys destroyed the 62 batch in the comments. It maked me sick. If you dont make enough money, If you are not on your purpose, there is always Jim Beam white knock off in the supermarket for few quid!
Btw, to me this is top 5 whiskies I ever had in my life. And yes, It beats the likes of Laga 16 or Chivas 18 by a mile!
