This is an 18 year old single cask Aberfeldy from Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range. It was distilled in June 1994 before a maturation in a refill hogshead. It was bottled in June 2012 and there are just 306 bottles available.
Nose: Butterscotch and allspice. A little apricot conserve, barley malt and boiled sweets.
Palate: Spicy, biscuity malt on the palate. Hints of dried apricots and pepper.
Finish: Toffee apples and pimento.
