An indie Aberfeldy, distilled in April 2003 and bottled 14 years later in May 2017. It was finished in a Port pipe and bottled by Ian Macleod for the Chieftan's range with an outturn of 702 bottles. Always love a good Aberfeldy, we do.
Nose: Rich Oloroso sweetness, with underlying notes of violet and lemongrass.
Palate: Creamier on the palate. More vanilla-y, caramel-y notes come forward, with the wine-like fruits taking a back seat.
Finish: Lingering chocolatey elements.
