The second single malt to be released by the fabulous Aber Falls distillery in North Wales is here! This expression was matured in a combination of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, bourbon, and virgin oak casks and is positively brimming with rich fruit and subtle spice. Striving for sustainability and quality, the team at Aber Falls works closely with local farmers to grow top quality Welsh barley and contribute to the local economy. It gets a thumbs up from us!
Creamy malt with diced nuts, caramel crystalised fruit, dates, and prunes.
Vanilla and toffee cross zesty orange peel, heaps of sherried sultanas, and dried fruits. A gentle spice picks up with clove, earthy coffee, and extra dark chocolate, studded with nuts.
The creamy texture prevails, vanilla fudge, darker notes of berries and cherries, sherried fruit cake, soft barley spice.

Truth be told, you’ll find few single malts on MoM for as little as £26 offering this fine upfront quality, even not always in the £50-£75 ‘more established Scotch brand’ core range in my experience.
I drink a lot of malts and was pleasantly surprised by this. Excellent for the price. Agree with Colin G. Has a depth to it without too much sweetness. Light but not a breakfast whiskey
Colin G Really good whisky. 10 x the character you get with most 40% supermarket stuff. Its really unique, and has an obvious distillery character. I get a lovely burnt orange on the finish.
Fruity, creamy and smooth. Not the most complex malt, but very easy drinking and great for the price.
Reasonably priced great Welsh malt ! Festive fruit flavours and spice !
