UWA Reposado Tequila

UWA Reposado Tequila Bottling Note

This is a super premium, triple distilled, 100% blue weber agave reposado Tequila, which was diluted to 40% ABV using volcanic spring water. But none of that is what truly makes this beauty stand apart.

No, it is how Aberdeen-based UWA Tequila aged this reposado that is extraordinary. Using Speyside whisky casks, which were exported from Scotland to Tequila, Mexico, where the product is aged for seven months (a reposado that spent that long being Speyside snug? Now that's rested) and bottled.

It is said to be the first Tequila to be aged in this manner, so now you've got to check it out to see if you think it works...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Honeysuckle and creamy vanilla glaze over toast drenched in butter, pure agave and earth. White pepper spice prickles every now and again.

UWA Reposado Tequila Reviews

Marmite?

These reviews suggest you either love it or hate it! For me it proves that tequila and whisky barrels simply do not mix- the outcome is just weird...

Great sipping tequila

Was gifted this over Christmas and as a massive tequila fan I’d say it’s in my top 5 tequila’s. Sweet to start with and oak at the end. Definitely notice the ex malt casks

Not worth the money

Doesn't live up to the price tag, strong after taste which is not pleasant.

Amazing Tequila, with a hint of Scotland

A beautiful sipping tequila with a definite note of the Speyside whisky, due to the maturing in the casks

Stunning

Tequila like you have never had before! Don’t confuse this with a gimmick, fad or fly by night. This is here to stay. If you want to neck tequila, go somewhere else. If you want to enjoy a refined, well thought-out aged umptious sipping tequila that is on par with a VSOP or XO in brandy terms, which is also so versatile it can be your base liquor to a number of stunning cocktails, this is the one to buy.
