Cazcabel Blanco Bottling Note
Cazcabel Blanco is a classically-styled tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, evidently named after a legendary medicine man known as Don Cazcabel. Rich in earthy roasted agave with citrus notes shining through and black pepper bringing spice to the finish.

Cazcabel Blanco Reviews
Tyre Fire
Thanks to the reviewer who points out that this is a 100% agave tequila.
That said, I found this tequila very poor. Not one for sipping or a T&T. Even in a margarita there are some unusual notes coming through, something like burning rubber which I suppose some people could enjoy that but not me!
An affordable tequila but another one which, in my opinion, shows that you truly get what you pay for. Spend a few more quid and go for the El Rayo or something!

Excellent tequila for the price
This has an interesting, loamy, spicy depth of flavour. It's 100% agave. This is not a mixto. So the rude, pompous person reviewing here who has spent over 20 years in specialist alcohol retail is wrong, I'm afraid it is actually you not the other reviewers who doesn't 'have a clue' or 'know your job'.
From the Casa Agave website, "Unlike the rest of our range of agave products the Cazcabel bottlings do not state 100% on their label, even though they are. This is for the simple fact that the bottling happens outside of Mexico and therefore, as per the CRT, they cannot print 100% agave on the label." From their Amazon store, "100 Percent Blue (Weber) Agave grown and harvested in the highlands of the Jalisco mountains, the skilled jimadors only select mature agave plants, usually more than 7 years old."

It's a Mixto - It's ok
Reasonable tequila, good for cocktails particularly.
All tequilas which are not labelled as 100% agave are mixtos in that up to 49% of the sugars in the ferment can come from sources other than agave plants.

Middle of the road
Not a mixto like the guy below says. Not really sure why people feel the need to comment when they clearly don't have a clue what they are talking about. That said, this is definitely a middle-of-the-road blanco. There are MUCH better tequilas out there (think Tapatio or Ocho) which much better represent the blanco style in my opinion.

This tequila is not a mixto
To one that said this is a mixto. You are completely wrong on that. Any any drink that is called a Tequila is Not a mixto. Tequila is only produced in the state of Jalisco and is regulated by the state. Any other liquor made out of state cannot be called tequila. The tequila comes from the blue agave. So I'm not sure where you get that this is a mixto. And I'm a mexican from the state of Jalisco.

Great value for tequila-based cocktails...
We were really pleased with this blanco... vibrant and smooth, didn't have that oily slap you sometimes get with cheaper tequilas. Mixed splendidly in Margaritas and Palomas... Have to say we went through it pretty fast!

Mixto!
Remember this is a mixto not a 100% blue agave as it is sometimes claimed (although not here thankfully). Hence why this tastes of sweet toffee and dulche de leche- all the flavours are added. It doesn't mean its bad it just means you don't really like tequila!
