This tasting set comprises 3cl samples of all 10 of the blends created in our Bloggers' Blend competition.

About the Bloggers' Blend

Here at Master of Malt, we’ve long thought that one of the biggest and most valuable resources in the industry is the blogosphere… There are a huge number of incredible whisky blogs out there, run by experts with an in-depth knowledge about their subject. For our next whisky, we decided to give the bloggers the opportunity to design and develop their very own whisky – a project dubbed ‘The Bloggers’ Blend’.

We sent whisky blending kits to 10 prominent whisky bloggers. Each kit contained a scientific array of measuring cylinders and pipettes, along with 2 samples of ‘base’ whisky (one a blended malt, and one a single-grain); 4 samples of high quality single malt; and 4 samples of rather more special ‘top-dressing’ whiskies (mainly single cask, some incredibly well-aged). The bloggers’ remit was to create the tastiest and best value-for-money whiskies they could with the ingredients provided.

After they’d finalised their blends, they sent us their recipes with exact proportions for each of the ingredients they used. We then created 3cl drams of each of the bloggers’ blends, and now we turn to you…

We want you to decide which of the bloggers’ recipes to use to make our next whisky. We want you to try all 10 blends, and judge your favourite based on overall flavour, quality, and value for money.

Check the Master of Malt Blog on Tuesday 10th May for more details on how to vote...

Voting...

Wait. Is number one low or high?

How to vote...

Personally, I'm a fan of the popular vote - the person with the most vote wins. Heck, if we in the US had that back in 2000, the world might have been a better place...
