Gomme syrup is essentially sugar syrup with gum Arabic added - a gum made with acacia tree sap. Because of the gum Arabic it gives drinks a silky texture, and can soften the flavour of alcohol. Monin make a great quality Gomme syrup, with no fat or cholesterol.
