The 2010 vintage Vestal Kaszebe was made using Vineta potatoes grown in Kaszebe region of Poland. These lovely spuds were harvested while young (so they're full of flavour) after a long dry spell and have been singly distilled to preserve all the flavour possible. The artisan distillers have done the potatoes proud and made a spirit that tastes unique - even between the vintages, there are difference in flavour!
Nose: Buttery new potatoes, light, airy notes of flowers in the Spring and a subtle nuttiness.
Palate: Green apple skin, pear drops, continued notes of sautéed potatoes.
Finish: Medium length, with dense, earthy, spiced notes.
Overall: There's a definite arc to the Kaszebe 2010 - a riveting expression.
