The rare 2010 vintage Vestal Podlasie comes from the year the brand was launched. The father and son duo behind Vestal want to show the world that terroir is not just important for wine making, but for growing potatoes to make their excellent small batch spirits too. The potatoes for the Podlasie come from Eastern Poland and are harvested when young and packed with flavours, giving the Podlasie bags full of unique character.
Nose: It opens with green apple sweetness before moving onto perfumed, floral notes, cracked black pepper and a hint of exotic fruit.
Palate: Fantastic, rich mouth feel, complimented by notes of oat, citrus peels, pear with a subtle savoury touch.
Finish: Long. The exotic fruits on the nose return in full on the finish.
Overall: Impeccable, incredibly satisfying.
