Often thought of as 'Irish moonshine' it can be made from grain or potatoes but Knockeen Hills are unique in using whey for their spirit.This 60% 'Farmer's Strength' release is triple distilled and scored 92 at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2012.
Nose: Sweet vanilla aromas up front as well as fruit salad and a hint of marzipan.
Palate: Warm citrus, a little maltiness, perhaps some peppermint.
Finish: Drying. Mixed nuts.
