A peated release from the English Whisky Company in Norfolk. The distillery matures its spirit in Jim Beam bourbon barrels. As this is not yet three years old, this is still "new make" but it is a cracker, distilled on the 1st November 2007 and bottling on the 25th August 2009.
Nose: Peat – and not a lot else initially…
Palate: Smooth, well integrated peat (it’s still there in force though), very, very fruity.
Finish: Christmas spices, hint of orange zest just at the end?
Overall: Impressive, but not as good as the previous two.
