Bruichladdich X4 Bottling Note

A malt spirit from Islay. This was distilled by Bruichladdich, and is the first quadruple pot-distilled spirit made from just barley in around three centuries!

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Candy sticks and sugar syrup arrive first with a jammy scent swiftly following. Then comes the spirit with a slight methynated spirityness and notes of sweet potato.

Palate: Very spirit forward like poteen with a nuttiness that becomes more jammy with water.

Finish: Very hot, spirity and clean with a longer finish than would be expected for this style of drink.

Overall: A true accomplishment in how far a pot still can be pushed.
