Cold-Infused, Cold-Distilled Coffee - Costa Rica, Herbazu (Batshit Mental Ideas)

B.M.I. Costa-Rican Coffee Bottling Note

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. When life hands you Villa Sarchí coffee beans from the Herbazu estate in Narajo, Costa Rica, make Cold-Infused, Cold-Distilled Coffee! Probably...

The beans were honey processed before being roasted on 30/8/12, brewed on 4/9/12 and distilled on 5/9/12. This short amount of production time ensures that the compounds that make the freshly-ground coffee cracking (and no-so-freshly-ground coffee no-so-cracking) are retained.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Given a moment in the glass rich coffee presents itself, richer than many of the other distillates in the range. It's joined by clotted cream fudge, Sicilian lemon and toast.

Palate: Again the the coffee is pronounced on the palate alongside Nutella. Mmm... Nutella.

Finish: A drying, coffee finish with a touch more of that Nutella.

Overall: Hazelnutty, chocolatey, fudgey coffee spirit?! It's Batshit Mental!
