An extremely high strength rum from Saint Vincent. This is distilled from molasses in a column still.
Brown sugar, marzipan, coconut ice and stem ginger.
Quite dry with more candied ginger at the fore. Hot cross buns with butter, tropical fruit.
Very long, with hints of cocoa powder and grilled pineapple.
Fabulous White Rum beautifully tasting full of flavour great for sipping and mixing certainly don’t need a lot to do the job. Tried overproof rums before and found them to be an acquired taste but this blows them away will be ordering again very soon
Known this all my life. Mom is from the Island. I remember when my uncle used to bring it back before the ban on aircraft. Gave my teenage mates a tipple, and watched the drama unfold. Great times. Take it easy with this one. Very nice pure white rum.
I first had this back visiting my father on Union Island, in the Grenadines. Yes the rum is powerful and yes people, and myself have been know to drink it neat with a chaser but really this is for making a punch concoction. This is not to be played with and for most people, it a curiosity to try something so mad! It's not as harsh as you would expect but it will take you breath away. You can't take it on the plane anymore, hence the expense. I once bought back 9 bottles for friends and myself?
In the reviews for this product there are many people who clearly have a drinking problem or are encouraging potentially deadly levels of drinking. This is not something that should be drunk neat and realistically probably shouldn't be put in a single mixed drink either. That said if you plan to make your own liqueurs then this is excellent. So far I have made Limoncello and apricot liqueur with it and both have been excellent. Remember to add sugar and water though.
Great rum, used for making tinctures! Best one iv tried yet. 100% recommended
