This spirit from Ron Millonario is a beautifully packaged solera-aged rum from Peru. Distilled in column stills, it comes packaged in a woven-covered bottle and it was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2009 Rum Masters!
Nose: Sweet, rich and sticky with hints of smoke, toffee, cinnamon, allspice, stewed fruits and cigar leaves.
Palate: Sticky toffee pudding, dates and walnuts, Molasses, dark brown sugar and vanilla spice.
Finish: Long, sweet and easy-going!

Tried this at a restaurant and there must be copious amounts of sugar added to it, for it's extremely easy to drink.Millionario is like a rum cocktail in a bottle without the bitters added. Non rum fanatics will probably find this a very tasty rum (which it is!) because it's so extremely sippable. My tip is to get yourself a rum with less sugar added and throw some gomme syrup in it yourself when you feel like it. A dash of angostura bitters and a little ice to boot.

Coming from a whisky drinking background I was introduced to rum via Seales 10 Yo (which is lovely btw). This, is a simple rum, with what tastes like copious amounts of sugar added. An overpriced sugar syrup, and at best, a dessert liquor.

Just discovered Ron Millonario and quickly has become my favourite sipping rum. Recommended to all my friends

I'm a rum fan and this is a great buy. A nice cigar next to it and you are in haven. Would recommend it to everyone.

oh my! I just surprised a wedding party full of picky Irish & other liquor lovers with a couple of bottles of this bad boy. EVERYONE loved it, and no one needed any ice or anything else, all you need is the bottle. The two bottles were finished before any of the popular beer, champagne, very expensive scotch, and imported unique tequila. Maybe there is better rum out there (probably much more expensive) which I haven't discovered yet, but this one is a must try.

This was one of the first bottles of sipping rum that I purchased, and after finishing it with glee I revisited it some 12 months later. It tastes like a sweetened rum, very much like the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva, and it’s easily drinkable. Would I buy another bottle? Probably not as I prefer the complexity and subtle sweetness of the El Dorado 12. Though this is a good rum for those who enjoy sweet and not particularly complex rums.

A fantastic Rum from Peru, it is no surprise that it has won so many medals. I would recommend in a heartbeat to anybody who wants a good sipping rum for a good price!
