RedLeg is a superb spiced rum made with Caribbean spirit which was aged in old oak whilst being infused with Jamaican vanilla and ginger. Just superb and very good on a crisp Winter's evening!
Custard apples and cinnamon. Lovely, inviting ginger notes. Very spicy.
Good level of sweetness with gingerbread and hints of black pepper. Sweet, creamy vanilla.
Long, spiced finish. Stem ginger in syrup.
What a fabulous Christmas present. Being a Rum lover this is One of the best rums I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
Ive tried rums from havana club 15, 7, kraken, appleton estate etc.. Dont waste your money, you'll always come back to this one. Sweet, smooth, good mixer, better straight. Does smell of more vanilla than it tastes.
My new favourite rum! Smooth on its own or lovely mixed with coke or ginger ale. Highly recommend!
This is definitely not a sipping rum, because just like the pineapple version, neat, this has an horrendous alcohol after burn. The situation doesn’t improve that much when mixed with Coca-Cola either, as then this rum becomes a wee bit to sickly sweet. Cannot win, going from one extreme to another! You know the writing is on the wall for any rum, when, even when mixed with coke, it still doesn’t taste desirable! So I tried this with lemonade, as by this point, I felt I had nothing left to lose by experimenting. And you know what, it improved slightly because it became less sickly sweet. But unfortunately, whatever mixer you decide to use, it’s still going to have an unpleasant aftertaste. My advice if you have this rum stuck in your drinks cabinet, use it as part of a rum cocktail and you’ll be fine.
Best rum ever, my whole family loves it too. it's really good starter rum for people who are new to the drink, but also versatile and complex enough for a seasoned expert.
