Distilled at the Don Hose distillery in Panama in 1995 and bottled by Mezan after it was aged in small oak barrels. The distillery was founded in 1908, and is now best known for producing Ron Abuelo. The rum is made in column stills, and has a great flavour.

Rich gold. Cocoa nose, opening out to caramel and a little peach. Very sweet attack indeed (golden syrup), a little floral, then a dryish finish. The midpalate is all about milk chocolate. This is easily good enough to drink neat - though it might be too sweet for some. Very special stuff.
