Chamarel 8 Year Old Cognac Cask Finish

Chamarel 8yo Cognac Cask Bottling Note

This rather stylish decanter is full of delicious Mauritian rum from Charamel! Distilled from cane juice, a marriage of both pot and column still rhum agricole, the spirit was initially aged for six years in French oak. Before bottling, it spent another two years maturing in casks which previously held Cognac, hence the name! Among the spice and vanilla, there's a whole lot of dried fruit and stone fruit influence in there too.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Fragrant tobacco and sweet vanilla leads into date and dried fig, with sticky ginger cake and a juicy plum finish.

Chamarel 8 Year Old Cognac Cask Finish Reviews

Superb!

Produced in what is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been. The lovely people at Chamarel are
Passionate distiller with a mastery of their craft. Produced in a traditional copper pot still, which is unusual in modern rum production.
Absolutely delicious, complex and deep structure with a looooong finish. Sip neat or with a cube of ice on a warm evening. My absolute favourite.
