This is a Navy strength blend of rums from Guyana, Trinidad and Jamaica, which has been finished in casks that have a stave made from wood taken from famous Royal Navy warship, HMS Victory. It was created by the Isle of Wight distillery in The National Museum of the Royal Navy.
Banana fritters, brown sugar, a hint of lemongrass, slowly building Christmas spices.

VERY impressive! I'm not a great connoisseur of rum, but I drank my miniature with hot water, and it wasn't at at all overpowering with sweetness. It would be a most rewarding drink for The Fleet after a successful engagement!!!!

Best rum I have ever tasted. It has a deep flavour and rich aftertaste.

Not as heavy as a Woods or Pussers Naval strength rum which tend to be heavy on the molasses and treacaley This rum has more of a Demerara sweetness and colouring not quite caramel Think alcoholic Caramac bar with a slightly higher vanilla noteThis is the perfect rum for scotch drinkers to dip there tow into the world of rumHowever price wise should be sub £40 But premium paid asOnly small batch made

Wonderfully delicious, smooth, rich and flavoursome. A delight sipped neat but mixes well too and isn’t lost to the mixer. Easily as acceptable as a decent single malt.

Oof! Now this certainly packs a punch!Without doubt my favourite Rum right now.Strong but flavoursome and, with a touch of orange spiced ginger, a beautifully sippable drink.I'm on my second bottle and this will, doubtless, become a staple of my rum collection.Fantastic.

This is a proper rum, really strong notes of molasses and burnt sugar and at 100% proof, it really packs a punch but not so much that it kills the flavour. If you like a seriously strong rum, you'll love this. Not sure how much flavour the lump of HMS Victory in the cask adds, clearly gimmick value but the recipe has been painstakingly recreated from true Caribbean rums and Navy records.
