Old Grog takes it's name for from the rum shipped from Grenada to England for King George III. This rum was labelled Georgius Rex Old Grenada and the abbreviation was taken to name this golden rum.
Nose: The nose is heavy on the tropical fruit, especially pineapple, mango and melon with an underlying spiciness.
Palate: This rum is medium-bodied with a silky texture and a fruity oaky flavour.
Finish: The finish is clean with notes of brown sugar and vanilla.
Overall: It is easy to see how this rum has won so many awards, very drinkable indeed.

Bought a bottle out of curiosity while in Grenada. Was informed by a clerk when asking about a nice sipping rum that this was their goto brand.Once back in the states, tried it one evening and found myself pleasantly enjoying this Rumas a nightcap. My only regret was not buying a bigger bottle.Smooth, warm and a slight sweetness makes it a great rum for any occasion and even just as a relaxer.Best sipping rum ever!

A very enjoyable rum to drink neat. Taste is refreshing certainly not hard, leaves a pleasant after taste with no roughness. A excellent rum with nice mix of flavours that work well together, also at. Reasonable price showing not all good rums have to be expensive
