Foursquare 2006 '22 Swell Bottling Note

The folks at French indie bottler Swell de Spirits snapped up a splendid rum from the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados for this bottling, which joins its Wonders of the World collection. Distilled in October 2006, the rum rested in a combination of white oak and first-fill bourbon casks until bottling in January 2022. An exciting release for fans of Foursquare's mouth-watering expressions.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rounded notes of sweet caramel, dried coconut, and poached fruit with buttery pastries and vanilla cream in tow.

Palate: Rich toffee, almond croissants, soft wafts of banana, and oaken vanilla are lifted by citrus and baking spice.

Finish: The zestiness continues with a touch of grapefruit, whilst clove and nutmeg bring lingering warmth, finishing up with sweet sponge cake and just a whiff of leather.
