This rum was distilled at the Four Square distillery in Barbados and bottled by Scottish Islay distillers, Bruichladdich. This rum was aged in Banyuls casks which, for the uninitiated, are sweet wine barrels.
Nose: Lots of berry aromas of strawberries, redcurrants with classic rum caramel and vanilla running throughout.
Palate: Acacia honey and raisins on the palate with a warm spicy lift at the end.
Finish: The finish is warming and tropical with a little honey liqueur thrown in for good measure.
Overall: A delicious rum packing some really tasty fruit flavours underpinned by honey and caramel.
