A very special release from Guyana's rum experts El Dorado - the 1986 vintage 25 year old Demerara rum. A blend of rums chosen in 2011 by the late George Robinson, master blender, which were then placed in marrying casks until 2013. This is not an annual vintage release - the 25 year old is only produced when El Dorado's sugarcane harvest is of a high enough quality to lend itself to the lengthy ageing process. Simply awe-inspiring.

I was gifted the El Doroda 25 and I love it. I had no idea how expensive it was. I love Ron Zacapa 23yr old so I'll probably do a side by side tasting.

Worst El Dorado I've tried so far. Every single typical Demerara quality has been destroyed by massive amounts of added sugar. Even the El Dorado 8 year old is a better sip - and you can buy around 20 bottles of it for the price of 1 ED25. Buyer beware!

I was gifted 3 bottles (750ml) 25 year old el Dorado by a customer while working in Georgetown, limited edition but was gifted them in 2009. I did not realise how special they were and gave 2 bottles away to friends, needless to say the one I have left will be saved for a special occasion!

Nothing is a ten for me but this is the closest one I have ever enjoyed.

Price versus quality this is the worst offering from the El Dorado lineup. Really sweet and made to be smooth most likely with additives.

Its a very smooth more refined, i've only tried the 15 and 21, but this tops them both,
