From the Damoiseau Distillery comes a Guadeloupean rhum agricole, made exclusively from pressed sugar cane juice, as the name suggests! After it's distilled the liquid is left to rest for six months in oak to marry the liquid before being blended with spring water down to bottling strength of 40% ABV. It's vibrant stuff, with more mellow notes developing underneath from the time it spent resting. Excellent in a Rhum Punch, but this expression also makes for some interesting twists on a whole host of classic cocktails - we reckon an Agricole Daiquiri sounds pretty neat...
Nose: Wonderfully bright and grassy, with a touch of pineapple chunk sweetness to it.
Palate: Another splash of fresh tropical fruit, with subtle white peppery heat giving it some balancing dry warmth.
Finish: Soft lime, cut grass and just a pinch of dark chocolate.
