Enjoyed in Cuba since the 1960s, the rest of the world is finally getting to taste the excellent Ron Cubay. Their Anejo rum is aged for 7 years before being bottled, allowing it to mellow out and grow deep with flavour
Nose: Freshly roasted coffee beans and soft, crumbly fudge.
Palate: More rich coffee and fudge, but the 7 year old rum has a wonderfully warming peppery heat deep within.
Finish: Soft fudge and chocolate on the finish.
Overall: Both mellow and exciting, it's a well balanced rum that can be easily enjoyed neat.
