Caroni 1997 Edition No.3B Bottling Note
"Rum Sponge? But I thought it was Whisky Sponge?!" we hear you say, referencing the popular internet-based blog website. Well, people can try different things, and so can anthropomorphic sponges. Hence, Rum Sponge. Anyway, this is a collaborative indie bottling from Rum Sponge and Decadent Drinks, and it's a cracking Caroni rum, distilled in 1997! The rums from Trinidad's closed Caroni Distillery are much-loved indeed, though sadly they're rather hard to come by as well. This particular bottling is one of two, with this one having been brought down to 48.5% ABV (as hinted to by the sponge on the label being all absorbent, as sponges are wont to be).
