A fantastic indie bottling of rum from Trinidad's sadly closed Caroni Distillery. It was distilled all the way back in 1997 and set aside to slumber for many moons. Eventually, Bristol Spirits got their hands on it, and the rum was bottled in 2019 at cask strength. The expressions from Caroni have many fans indeed, and we reckon they'll be very pleased to see this one.
Dense caramel and oak, followed by a good kick of orange oil. Softly savoury at points.
