My favorite sipping rums are 2 to 4 time the price of Appleton 12 year extra. This rum stands up to all of them. Amazing value! I prefer it to the Appleton Master Blenders Legacy.

I prefer this to the 21 year old. Pleasantly astringent, like a pot of cold, stewed Lapsang Souchong tea with pencil shavings.

After comparing 7 other rums in the same price range, I went back to this one as my favourite. The other ones were either missing something or had too much of one thing. This rum is very well balanced and it gets better every time you go back to it as your palate evolves.

Nice, rich, creamy, but too simple when compared to finest Single Malt Scotches.

This is an excellent rum, which, in comparison to the non-aged VX Appleton rum, is most definitely worth the difference in cost. It is a richly flavoured rum which allows the drinker to wallow in its taste. Definitely recommended, definitely drinkable.

For once I _completely_ agree with the description from Masterofmalt. This would be worth it at twice the price.I would be interested to taste the 21 year old!

Bought this rum in the Appleton Estate whilst on holiday in Jamaica. Very easy to drink (too easy) only fault didnt buy more than one bottle. Would definitely recommend to any rum drinkers
