Burgundian Wine

Perhaps the most revered wine region in the world. Whilst Bordeaux focuses on blending and consistency, Burgundy positively celebrates individualism amongst its wines. With the difference in price between a block of vines where you're standing, and a block of vines as far away as you could spit sometimes being in excess of 1000%. Some frankly astonishing wines, both red and white are turned out by Burgundian wine makers every year, with Pinot Noir the dominant red grape, and Chardonnay the corresponding white grape, this truly is the place to come if you want a lesson in subtlety, poise and complexity.
