It is made from nothing other than malted barley, yeast and water, and is distilled in a copper pot still before maturation in oak casks for a minimum of three years and a day. The unnamed single malts that often represent their styles so well, without the glory of the distillery bottlings. These unsung heroes offer come with clues as to their origin. Perhaps the bottler will hint at the location of the distillery, for example.
