Other Scotch Single Malt Whisky

Single Malt whisky offers a tremendous level of scope of complexity and character. It is made from nothing other than malted barley, yeast and water, and is distilled in a copper pot still before maturation in oak casks for a minimum of three years and a day. In this 'Other Scotch' category you'll find single malts of unknown, or untold origin. Here you'll find the secret bottlings. The unnamed single malts that often represent their styles so well, without the glory of the distillery bottlings. These unsung heroes offer come with clues as to their origin. Perhaps the bottler will hint at the location of the distillery, for example.

You'll find Gordon and MacPhail's Secret Stills range here, for example. You'll also find the Master of Malt secret bottlings series, with some classic Speyside drams from well-known distilleries. You'll simply have to taste them for yourself to work out where they were distilled!
