Nose: Rich, musty aromas of a chef’s pantry, spices and fresh herbs. Hints of berry fruits (sloes and damsons in particular) develop, with hints of dried basil and olive.
Palate: Rich cherry and rhubarb, hints of juniper, gentian, mixed spice and a little oak. Becomes quite wine-like. Oily, a little lavender appears. Hints of violet too.
Finish: Long, herbal finish. Stewed fruits, rose petal jelly and a hint of fig.
Overall: A mouth-filling, intense Negroni with some truly stupendous flavour.
