Fatman's Aged Negroni Bottling Note

A terrific take on a classic Italian aperitif. It's crafted in small batches over several months with a base of Bombay Sapphire gin, Martini Rosso vermouth and Campari, along with a top secret blend of aromatics. All that's left for you to do is pour it over ice with a slice of orange. Oh, and drink it. That's a thing.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

All the hallmarks of a classic Negroni - juniper, mixed spice, red fruit, wrapped up with a bolstered aromatic edge.

Fatman's Aged Negroni Reviews

The perfect Negroni!

This is so good I've given up making my own version!

You'd think, right? But 9 bottles later I've thrown in the towel. I've tried Bombay & Campari with French bitters, Italian bitters, Spanish sherry bitters, Orange Angostura, but I've come nowhere near the soft, deep, smashing orangey Fatman flavour, steeped in old oak barrels, warmed by rays of sunshine and laced with his 'top secret blend of aromatics'. My experiment is complete. Good luck with yours and good health!

You gotta try it!

Best bottled negroni I’ve ever had and I’ve tried them all!

One born every minute

What I think is that if you buy a bottle of gin, a bottle of Campari and a bottle of Martini Rosso, you can have three times as much Negroni for about the same price. Or am I missing something?

better than mixing your own

Fantastic, better flavor than mixing your own and way easier.

Fab

Negroni's have been my drink of choice for many years now, but I have noticed that over the last year or so pre mixed Negronis have been more prevalent which I do not like. However, having had this bought for me as a present I can honestly say it's the best version I have tasted. It has just that little extra bite which does not overpower the original concept.
Well done......now if you could only get the price down........!

No better way to ride out the apocalypse than with this Negroni

Love this stuff. First got hooked on Negroni’s before they were a thing - bumming my way round the states as a barman. Wouldn’t normally drink premix – but a mate of mine turned me onto Fatman’s. Hadn’t come across an aged Negroni before but it really works – smoothing out the corners while still giving you that lip smacking floral punch from the Campari – perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the vermouth. There’s no better way to ride out the apocalypse and it’s the perfect antidote to a day home schooling two feral children. Only quibble is the wife likes it too.

Love this drink

This is my favourite new drink. Like the reviewer below, ice & orange peel, but midweek, I'm topping up with some Orange Fevertree tonic. OMG! Love this so much!
Ordering some more in for gifts for friends.

My favourite aperitif

This is my favourite after work/before dinner drink. In fact I am having one now. Ice, orange and a very generous slug of the Fatman's and I am very contented.

An excellent addition to my bar.

Ever since my first trip to Italy back in the 70's Negroni has been my cocktail of choice and I've drunk them on my travels in every corner of the globe. There have been some interesting variations in presentation particularly in the last 8/10 years and Fatman's is a standout version of this classic. The ageing brings an extra depth of flavour to it and the balance is just right. Winter or summer it works, less ice in the winter more in the summer. Maybe a splash of soda for a little sparkle but any way you cut it Fatman's is a grand addition to the bar.
Hamish Stuart.
