Nose: Peanut butter and jam. Not comically so, this is still a whiskey cocktail, but it's definitely there. The rye in the bourbon complements both, one moment it's nutty rye, the next fruity, with corn adding roundness.
Palate: Warming raspberry jam, more rye spice and rich, creamy caramel.
Finish: Slightly drying (more nut influence?), then into Elvis' jelly.
Overall: We were excited about this, but not sure exactly what to expect. We should have known not to worry.
