This is Norfolk Mead, made by Broadland - an English mead (which is a delicious traditional drink made by fermenting honey).

Well this is very nice for a `Fake` mead. Perhaps i should explain- there are Real Meads which are made by combining water with honey & fermenting with yeast to make & then there are fake meads which aren`t really meads at all -though the law allows them to be called so.These use wine made from grapes & then have honey added to taste-this is one such variety-along with fake mead from Lindisfarne, Lyme Bay,Moniac & the dreaded Harvest Gold all of which arent real meads at all. So though this is a reasonably pleasant drink it isnt real mead & its above discription by this site "This is Norfolk Mead, made by Broadland - an English mead (which is a delicious traditional drink made by fermenting honey" is somewhat misleading. Broadland Wines being mainly a bottleing operation bottleing mainly imported wines I would doubt the wine used as a base for this is even English, let alone from Norfolk & who knows where they get their honey? Probably in bulk from china as a lot of fake mead producers do. So buy this product & enjoy it but realise this isnt proper Mead.

My nephew was studying in England, and brought some over to the States. I've enjoyed mead on and off for 20 years or so. This is the best I've ever had - smooth and full-bodied. I came to the site here to see how to find more!

Tried a couple of different meads, both more expensive than this but neither as tasty.Lovely, sweet and luxurious with unexpected depth and fruit flavours.

Best Mead I've tasted yet. Not too sweet and not too dry, just right. The kind Baby Bear loves and Goldielocks craves.

This is the first time I have ever tried mead and just did so out of curiousity. It is a nice drink though extremely sweet. It comes from a supplier known for making fruit wines so I presume it is supposed to consumed in a similar style to wine. For me though it is too sweet to enjoy in such large quantities so I usually just have around the same measures as I do with spirits. I recommend giving it a try for definite.

I LOVE MEAD!! this mead is by far then best of all the meads in the land, and is the one that everyone should drink...i sometimes wish that i had a neverending supply of it on tap, which i could access at any stage...but taht would probly not be good for me! although mead is actually good for your health as i have found it to be medicinal on lots of occasions!...i cant believe I'm the first to rate it...it is better than 10 but thats as high as it goes...but well done for making this, the finest of bevarages. Thanks!Love Sarah =)xx
