Vaklova was a liqueur made by Smirnoff in the 1970s. In a '70s print advert for the liqueur, which featured a selection of quotes about Vaklova, one person said that because vodka was an in drink, Vaklova was going to be double in because of its mysterious taste. Quite a statement. Unfortunately the presentation box has been slightly damaged over the years, thought it is still included with this antique bottles.

30 years ago... my bf and I were in Toronto at a German restaurant and as an after dinner drink, he ordered a Drambuie. Our German waitress looked at him like he was Satan, and spat on the floor and said, "BAH! Drambuie!?!? BAH! I brink you zum Voklova!" Well, we were pretty intimidated by her spitting, so we laughed uncomfortably and agreed. I tasted it, and it was amazing. We bought a bottle of it (and it was beaucoup $$$), but once back in the states we were never able to find it again. Is it still available??
