La Grande Passion Bottling Note

La Grande Passion Liqueur was once produced by the very same French company that made Grande Marnier and Cherry Marnier. Sadly, this passion fruit flavour liqueur, made with Armagnac and French brandy was discontinued. However, we've got a bottle of it right here! We believe that this bottle was produced at some point from the late 1980s to the early 1990s.

La Grande Passion Liqueur - late 1980s/early 1990s Reviews

It should be every serious cognac lover's cabinet

My mom took an opened bottle off the shelf last evening and offered to share the last sniffer with me. Dad had given it to her as a Christmas gift one year before he died. She had been saving it because...well just because. I have to admit, I'm not much of a drinker, but after just one sip I was in heaven. You can imagine my disappointment to learn this is no longer produced. Big mistake on the part of Marnier Lapostolle. I know that given a chance, this extra smooth, refined alternative to the other "Grande" liqueurs would find great favor with today's generation.

My 30-Year search for this Best-Ever "LGP" Armagnac may now sadly rest!

Back in the late 1980s, I lived in ("Dry") Plano, TX USA; used to have to drive in to ("Wet") Dallas to buy great liqueurs, for After Dinner. I'm puzzled though, by Your Photo, since the Armagnac "La Grande Passion" I bought (and still miss its Flavour), came in a Red Heart-shaped Bottle, enveloped in a beautiful Gold Trimmed, Red Velvet bag. I liked its fruity (gentler than Cognac) taste. Later, attending University, money was tight, I nearly forgot all about it! Over the past 20-years, in Pennsylvania (Amish Country), I wasn't aware it was being discontinued. Thank You for the Information given—now I can stop blaming Pennsylvania as "pruddish," since I now know it wasn't their fault. Warmly..., CLD.

Please offer it again!

I wish they never stopped making it! Perhaps Grande Marnier would entertain a special edition release, true followers would pay the price!

750ml For Sale

I have a 750ml Bottle For Sale! Purchased on or before 1989 which was when the company warehoused I retrieved it from closed. We used it for a Dessert Offering at Chancellor's in The Vanderbilt Plaza in Nashville...we injected Fresh Strawberries with the La Grande Passion then dipped them in Dark Chocolate and Froze them. We served 3 Strawberries and also served simultaneously a Warmed Sniffer of the La Grand Passion. Warming the sniffer is HUGELY IMPORTANT with this particular liquor...night and day difference
