A full-sized bottle of the Italian liqueur, Fernet. This is made by macerating over 40 ingredients, including botanicals such as myrrh, saffron, aloe, rhubarb and chamomile. This is a rare bottling from the '60s.
Nose: Lots of exotic spice, notably saffron and chamomile, on the nose followed by a fruitier edge.
Palate: Delicately spiced with a little rhubarb emerging.
Finish: The finish peters out with gentle spice and stewed fruits.
Overall: An excellent vermouth from the 1960s.
