Canton Delicate Ginger Bottling Note

A very rare antique bottling of Canton Delicate Ginger Liqueur, which is now known as Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur. This bottle comes from when the liqueur was made with their old recipe, which was discontinued in 1997. We believe this bottle to have been produced between 1992 and 1995. It includes a snazzy presentation box and cocktail book.

Canton Delicate Ginger Liqueur - 1992-95 Reviews

Original recipe or nothing.

The original Canton recipe is by far the best ever! Hopefully it will be returned to shelves! I won't buy any other!

original old recipe is irreplaceable!

My husband and I used to sip this wonderful liquor in evenings. It was always the old recipe. I can't count the number of bottles of this we enjoyed. We did try the new recipe---it does not even come close to the old in ginger flavour or in the smoothness of the liquor....Would love to have it brought back!!

NOTHING even comes close!!!

I would usually buy these by the case (when they were $16.00 per bottle). My wife and I would sit in our hot tub every night with a glass or two over ice. It was smooth, and mild, with a very definite ginger flavor. This is a major loss to the alcoholic beverage market!!!

No new product even comes close to the flavor of the original. WE NEED THIS TO BE MARKETED AGAIN!!!

50ml bottle

I have a 50ml bottle with box which I bought in a small liquor store in USA around 2004. Has anyone seen the small bottle available anywhere else?

23rd August 2015

I have an unopened bottle.

It was given to me at my wedding shower in 1993. I thought the bottle was pretty so I kept it.The box was lost when I put the bottle in my liquor cabinet on display. I just realized I still had it today so I googled it. what??? Is it that valuable? I guess I will have it a little longer. lol

PLEASE bring back the old recipe

I have 1/2 bottle if the old recipe ginger liqueur left, and 3 recipe books. I'm afraid to touch either. There are so many fans of the old recipe starving for its come back. Is there any way to get it produced again? I'm sure it would be a profitable venture.

the best ginger liqueur evermade

the best liqueur i have ever had the priviledge to taste and use to cook with sad to have seen it discontinued the new Domaine de Canton is good but just not enough ginger as with the original also the new is made from crystalized giner and not six ginger roots. but still not overerly a bad replacement for the original just need to add fresh ginger to bring up the ginger taste when cooking with it

Dawn from west sussex uk

I won a bottle yesterday at my sons charity fun day on the tombola, 5 tickets for a pound. I opened it on that day and shared a few glasses with two elderly freinds. I couldn't believe it when i googled it and saw how much it is now selling for, we now have three quarters of a bottle left so will savour every drop.
