Borgmann 1772 Edition 0 Bottling Note
A German herbal liqueur made to a recipe passed down through the Borgmann family, whom trace the history of this drink all the way back to 1772, when the Duke of Braunschweig appointed them as "privileged" court apothecaries. If we fast forward to 1976, Mr and Mrs Borgmann come up with the current formulation for Borgmann 1772, though it's said it was being produced for long before that. The recipe features the intense herbal notes of cinchona bark, cloves, cinnamon and more. Powerfully flavoursome when enjoyed neat, though surprisingly versatile in cocktails.
