Marolo 12yo 2004 Bottling Note

An interestingly long-aged Grappa here from Marolo. They make this spirit using pomace from Barolo Nebbiolo grapes, and age it for 12 years (this bottling features Grappa put into the cask in 2004 and taken out in 2016). Aged Grappa isn't all that common, and Grappa which has been aged for quite so long is rather rare.

Juicy citrus, with a hint of sugared peels underneath. Some vegetal notes of tobacco and tomato stem.
