Cream Gin (43.8%) Bottling Note

The Black Cat's Martini is the signature cocktail of top London bar, the Worship Street Whistling Shop. They have teamed up with us to produce this delectable Cream Gin - the core ingredient in the aforementioned cocktail.

Cream Gin was popular in the Gin Palaces of the Victorian Era, however back then the gin would probably have been mixed with a cream and sugar then left to infuse.

To update this classic idea, this Cream Gin has been cold-distilled using fresh cream as a botanical (the equivalent of 100ml Cream per bottle!), to capture the fresh flavour of the cream in a perfectly clear spirit. Because the cream is never heated during the distillation process, no 'burnt' or 'off' flavours end up in the finished product. Cream Gin has the same shelf-life as any other distilled spirit.

The Cream Gin is great for adding a new texture and flavour to existing cocktail recipes.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rich, full-fat cream with a heavy whack of vanilla, though citrus notes of orange and lemon make themselves apparent.

Palate: Creamy and thick with lactic richness. The combination of a visually transparent liquid with the texture of a rich dairy product produces a fusion of sight and touch that boggles the mind but delights the palate.

Finish: Sweet, creamy, and moreish. This is undoubtedly gin but with a character that breaks the bounds of the category and brings new depth and flavour to the spirit.

Overall: This is not just another gin with a wacky botanical—this is a completely new approach to the category. Gin enthusiasts, historians, and molecular mixologists all stand to be astounded.

Cream Gin (43.8%) Reviews

Simply one of the best gin cocktails I have ever tasted!

Had a taste of the cream gin on its own which I thought was quite a smooth gin! Again on previous comments the citrus flavours were quite apparent!!
I have just teamed it up with plenty of ice, strawberries, watermelon and cucumber double Dutch tonic water.

Subtle, but excellent.

The 'creaminess' of this gin is certainly subtle, but it's there in the mouthfeel if you look for it. The overriding 'flavour' of the gin though is citrus. Loads of really high-quality Orange and Lemon in here - reminds me a lot of Tanqueray 10 in that respect. Lovely.

Not what is says on the tin }:-(

Quite excited when we saw this 'Cream Gin' so had to buy one. Just a good premium gin but nothing more.
Disappointing and quite a pretentious price.

Overrated

The gin is slightly more viscous than the average liquor, but none of the cream is apparent. I taste-tested it against several other gins and found it to be stronger and more herbaceous than the others, even though one would expect a cream gin to be smoother and more dessert-like.

That said, my bottle broke and Master of Malt sent a second one to me, no questions asked. Five starts for the seller, three for the gin itself.

It's not great.

No cream...

I had a sample (ginvent calendar) rather than a full bottle. Can't see why that would make a difference, but maybe they stuck the wrong thing in my sample bottle or something.

As with the reviewer above, the cream wasn't apparent at all, which was a huge disappointment as I've been looking forward to trying this for months.

Don't know what the fuss is about

This is a nice drinkable gin but the cream was not apparent to me at all. Bit of a disappointment:(

Didn't disappoint!

Wonderful mouth feel and smooth, but complex taste. Delicious!

Gin but different

And tastes brilliant!

Unique

I must confess that I was a little dubious of this product, but having tasted it i'm actually a big fan. The cream is definitely apparent, in both the aroma and a viscosity on the palate. Couple that with the fact that it's got a great historical story and you're on to a winner.

Citrus and Cream

There's lots of citrus - orange and lemon, and then vanilla on the finish.

Reminded me hugely of Chase Vodka with additional vanilla - the creaminess is the same.

So Viscous!

The Vanilla is light on the nose, but definitely there on the pallate, and the mouthfeel is absolutely immense. Makes a fantastic Martini.
